Web 2.0 & Digital Media Tools; Bringing Power To The Classroom.
Howe High School Journalism/Multimedia students use social networking, micro-blogging, mobile journalism, and digital media tools in the classroom on a daily basis. Students use Skype to conduct interviews with students from other states and invite experts into their classroom. Other tools in our "virtual tool box" include Google Docs, FlickR, Wifitti, Wikispaces, Twitter, etc. At this year's Technology Day at the Capitol, Howe students will schedule Skype interviews throughout the showcase. The Skype interviews will be posted to SchoolTube/YouTube and embedded below.
